# OwnershipTrace > OwnershipTrace helps curious investors research reported ownership, portfolio > changes, and transactions using public disclosures and links to original sources. The app has seven perspectives: Elite Investors (curated SEC Form 13F managers), House Trades (US House financial disclosures), Active Ownership (Schedule 13D), Passive Ownership (Schedule 13G), Insider Transactions (Forms 3, 4, and 5), Short Interest (FINRA), and Fund Portfolios (Form N-PORT). Elite Investors and House Trades are available without an account. The other data perspectives require Premium access. Public documentation explains all seven; this guide does not grant access to restricted data. Dashboards emphasize recent disclosures and the latest available reports. Report periods, transaction dates, filing dates, and page updates mean different things: a recent update does not make a reported position current. Historical comparisons use accepted reports and can change after amendments or corrections. 13F holdings are an incomplete, delayed view of a manager's portfolio. Portfolio weights are not company ownership percentages. Long option values describe the underlying shares, not option premiums. Counts cover tracked investors or funds, not the entire market. Short interest is distinct from daily short-sale volume. Missing values and unavailable comparisons are not zero. Reported changes do not establish execution prices, investor motives, future returns, or recommendations. Public indexable pages include readable initial HTML and a Markdown version at the same path with `.md` appended, for example `/docs.md`. Entity links can be discovered in the sitemap or public directories; append `.md` to a public 13F company, investor, holding, or House Trades URL for its summary. Summaries explicitly label row limits and use the default reporting scope; query-string filters are for the interactive app. Read source links for the original filing and cite the canonical HTML page with the report period and filing date, when available. ## Documentation - [Data and interpretation guide](https://ownershiptrace.com/docs.md): all perspectives, date meanings, reporting delays, percentages, missing data, and official sources - [About OwnershipTrace](https://ownershiptrace.com/about.md): product scope, access, investor research, and privacy - [Disclaimer](https://ownershiptrace.com/disclaimer.md): data limitations and terms of use ## Public 13F research - [Home: Elite Investors dashboard](https://ownershiptrace.com/index.md): what OwnershipTrace is, latest reporting-quarter activity, and the list of tracked investors - [Investors](https://ownershiptrace.com/13f/investors.md): tracked managers, reported portfolio dates and values, and links to investor pages - [Companies](https://ownershiptrace.com/13f/companies.md): a labeled directory excerpt with reported holder counts and company links - [Holdings](https://ownershiptrace.com/13f/holdings.md): a labeled excerpt of reported long-share positions and changes - [Sitemap](https://ownershiptrace.com/sitemap.xml): canonical indexable pages, including company and investor URLs ## Public House Trades research - [House Trades dashboard](https://ownershiptrace.com/congress/dashboard.md): disclosures filed in the last 30 days - [House members](https://ownershiptrace.com/congress/members.md): a directory excerpt linking to members' disclosed transactions - [House companies](https://ownershiptrace.com/congress/companies.md): a directory excerpt with transaction counts for the last 90 days - [House transactions](https://ownershiptrace.com/congress/transactions.md): recent disclosures, filed amount ranges, owners, and source reports ## Optional - [Premium](https://ownershiptrace.com/premium.md): access and subscription availability - [SEC EDGAR](https://www.sec.gov/edgar/search/): original SEC disclosure search - [US House financial disclosures](https://disclosures-clerk.house.gov/FinancialDisclosure): original House reports - [FINRA equity short interest](https://www.finra.org/finra-data/browse-catalog/equity-short-interest): source of published short-position snapshots
